Automobile brake is an important device of automobile brake, which is also called brake. The quality, performance and other factors of automobile brake will directly affect the safety of driving. Here is an introduction to the types of automobile brakes shared by Xiao Bian. Let's have a look.

The overall structure of automobile brake can be divided into two types: disc brake and drum brake. The drum type can be divided into internal tension type and external beam type. The external beam type is relatively rare now. The drum type is generally internal tension type. The internal tension drum brake can be divided into leading shoe type, two-way double leading shoe type, two-way double trailing shoe type, one-way self increasing type, two-way self increasing type. The disc brake can be divided into full disc type and caliper disc type, The caliper disc type can be divided into fixed caliper disc type and floating caliper disc type, and the full disc type can be divided into closed liquid type and closed dry type.

Disc brake is the most common braking system. The disc brake is a braking device that uses a stationary brake disc to clamp the brake disc rotating with the tire to generate friction and reduce the wheel rotation speed. When the brake pedal is pressed, the piston in the brake master cylinder will be pushed and pressure will be built in the brake oil circuit.

The pressure is transmitted to the piston of the brake wheel cylinder behind the brake caliper through the brake oil. When the piston of the brake wheel cylinder is under pressure, it will move outward and push the brake pad to clamp the brake disc, causing friction between the brake pad and the brake disc to reduce the wheel speed.

Disc brake is also divided into ordinary disc brake and ventilated disc brake. Ventilated disc brake is to reserve a gap between two brake discs to allow air flow to pass through the gap. Some ventilation discs also drill many round ventilation holes on the disc surface, or cut ventilation grooves or prefabricated rectangular ventilation holes on the disc surface. Ventilated disc brake uses air flow to achieve better cooling and heating effect than ordinary disc brake.
